O Monsoon Clouds...
Fill my azure sky with your darkness,
O Monsoon clouds...
And paint it with your beautiful hues of grey.
For this parched Earth of mine
Is longing for your love.
Let your petrichor fill my lifeless soul
With a new Life of its own.
Let your winds wreck havoc
On this wrecked heart of mine,
And fill it with all the serenity it has always craved for.
Take away the bits of mine, O Monsoon clouds,
With you.....far away into your land.
The bits of me, that hold me back
That shackles my feet
That chop away my wings.
Teach me to laugh, like your thunder,
For the sunshine smiles have left me long back.
Teach me, O Monsoon clouds, to dazzle like your lightening
For the stars and the moon have forsaken my night sky.
Fill my dark world with your darkness
And let me rest for a while, in your somber shadows,
Breathing in your moist zephyr
Like my favourite shot of drug.
For, this traveller is weary of chasing the horizons
Amidst the never ending deserts.
Shower your drops of love on me,
O Monsoon clouds......
And wash away my wounds along with,
Like they had never bled.
Wash away my tears,
Like they had never been shed.
Wash away those distant memories
That still haunt some unfathomed depths of my mind,
Like they never existed.
Wash away my pains and cleanse them with your touch
Till they no longer hurt.
Take away everything I own, O Monsoon clouds,
Wash away everything, what never even existed.
And then, someday, as your time comes to seek my leave,
And I bid you adieu with all gratefulness,
Watch me being reborn
Beneath my rainbow,
As you move away from my Autumn sky...
