Your Smile Looks Like A Crescent Moon

Your smile looks like a crescent moon

That fills my dark sky

With a new found light.

Like the petrichor to the summer sky,

It brings a gush of fresh wind

Through my closed windows,

Into my clumsy world.

You stare at me

Like a pristine marble statue

Chiseled with perfection,

Sculptured with love by beauty Herself,

Ripping off all my vulnerabilities

Layer by layer.

Shattering the wall that I had built around myself,

Brick by brick, through all these years.

I feel your breath on my skin,

Just as the shore feels the crashing waves...

And like those tiny grains of sands

I feel myself being pulled away from me

Into the depths of your eyes.

Like an enchanter who plays along with magic

You hypnotize me with your spells.

And slowly....subtly,

I find myself letting my past, present and future

To drift into oblivion....
